Meet Our Leaders

Scott Palmer – Pastor

Scott Palmer came to serve as senior pastor at Olivet in June of 1995. Scott has served as pastor of churches in Oklahoma, Mississippi and Kansas over the past 22 years. Scott received a B.A. in Religion with a Minor in Business Administration from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1988, as well as a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1990. Scott and his wife, Kelli have been married for 20 years and have two children at home, Macy and Ashton.

Dave Morrow – Music/Senior Adult Pastor

David “Dave” Morrow came to Olivet in 1985 to serve as Minister of Music and Youth. Dave has served in ministry for the past 37 years. Before coming to Olivet Dave served at five churches in Oklahoma and Missouri. Dave is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, with continued music study through Southwestern Seminary. Dave and his wife Debbie have been married for 36 years and have 3 grown children.

Don Cook – Education/Outreach Pastor

Don came to Olivet in March, 1999. Before coming to Olivet, Don served in ministry in Oklahoma and Texas. Don holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Don and his wife Debbie have been married 26 years and have three children, Ashley, Joel and Ky.

Derek Morrow – Youth Pastor

Derek Morrow came to Olivet in 2006 to serve as pastor to students. Derek has served in student ministry since 1999. Before coming to Olivet Derek received a BA in Youth Ministry from Oklahoma Baptist University. Derek served in ministry in the Tulsa area for 10 years before coming to Olivet. Derek and his wife Casey have been married for 10 years and have one daughter, Molly.

Amie Taber – Children’s Ministry Director

Amie joined the Olivet staff as Children's Director in the fall of 2005. Amie has worked in children’s ministry at Olivet for over 10 years. Amie's love for children developed at Tabor College, in Kansas, a Christ-centered school, where she received a degree in Physical Education and coaching. Amie and her husband, Ronnie, have three children, Jacob, Joshua and Jacie.

Terri Johnson – Preschool Ministry Director

Terri joined the Olivet staff in January of 2007. Terri has served in children and preschool ministry at Olivet for the past 7 years. Terri focuses on God’s plan, which she believes is to gently guide our precious little ones into loving and learning about our awesome God. Terri and her husband Shawn have three children, Karla, Jake and Kailie.
